Yay! I've missed you, Snapecast. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the movie 'cause I know you will tell it like it is and that movie was SEVERELY lacking in Snape.

I love Snapecast. I can't wait for the Seeeing Snape in Spock discussion thing. You guys brighten up my day a little, I was really excited to finally see a new episode. Thanks so much, and please make another episode soon!

Yes, finally!! I've been wondering if you were ever going to post this!! I've been waiting ages and ages!! It figures that I'd find out several several days later that you did... >.> And you're certainly right about one thing; it surely is the Leisurely Stroll of the Prince in this case.

Can't wait to get home and listen to this. And I agree with the above; you should do a fanart segment. Usually, I'm not into fanart much, but I'd certainly be interested anyway if you had one, and surely check out whatever you'll have featured. I should like fanart.

So, this is Ashley saying, "About time you got here."

Hey all, thanks for including my comments about what I see as Snape's resemblence to Dr. Zachary Smith. I agree with you that Dr. Smith was a major coward, whereas of course our beloved Snape has been shown to be anything but. Still, the spohisticated snarkiness of Dr. Smith puts him for me firmly into the category of men with excellent elocution and appallingly superior attitudes - who make me swoon every time.

I can't thank you all enough for both another great Snapecast and for sharing the link to the thoughtful and moving analysis contained in 'The Fully Knowable Severus Snape'. For those of us who aren't able to make it to the conventions, your coverage and sharing of what you do and discover there is priceless, so thanks! Oh, and BTW, I agree with the poster who would like a segment on fanart. Cheers!

I think Meagan and Kristin should get their own segment to just talk, maybe Kristin can tell what she and Snape-in-her-head did that day. But seriously, that segment gave me so many new quotes to laugh about. Thanks girls for a great episode!!!

I found the link to my argument. ;) Youtube vid from the POA Premiere: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWRbN5o4_UE.
I also have a little suggestion for your next snapecast. Why not talk about fanart, favorites and things you don´t like? I would love to hear what you guys think. :) I love Snape!

yayy a new episode!!! i was really looking forward to hearing what snapecast thought about the movie.

about the amount of emotion that is expressed, though - they definitely could've done more, but since snape has always been a very suppressed character, i liked how his internal feelings were expressed not just with facial expressions, but with elements like shadows as well. i liked that he showed his emotions in his eyes. i also think they're trying as best as they can to keep audiences from detecting which side snape is on (or directing them to think he is evil, which i hate).
i was absolutely thrilled about the extra touches they added to a few scenes, but the fact that they cut snape's "coward" part (hands down one of the most memorable scene of the whole series) was a big disappointment.

Great snapecast, finally! ;) I felt the same way when I saw the movie, overall it was good but the ending was very dissapointing. It would have not hurt to make those scene 10 minutes longer.
And I have to correct that rumor (from Michael Gambon) that Alan Rickman did not read the books, thats not true! In two Interviews for the POA Premiere that I found on youtube he says that he reads them as they go along. Unfortunately I can´t find those links no more, BUT HE SAY HE READS THEM. Please can you guys correct that in the next snapecast. And I will try to find those videos and send the link. It´s a little worrying that everyone believes something without asking that person or check if that is true.

The comparison for Dr Smith to Snape - which I agree with, BTW, as I distinctly remember this show - is more of a comparison of personality traits rather than the actual good or bad of the character. Dr Smith was a decidedly BAD character, but his snarky lines earned him a place in my memory forever. So much so that when the actor played a good guy 15 years later in a Saturday Morning series - Space Cadets - it was quite a struggle to divorce my original impression of him from my mind. I've always loved Snarky, Sarcastic, straight line humor type of guys which started with Dr Smith, followed by Spock, Baron Von Trapp, Snape and House.

BTW, the remake of Lost in Space - the movie - is not worth watching. The original was much, much better - even if the premise and the special fx were primitive - the characters were wonderful. Smith vs Robbie the Robot - classic humor.
