Snapecast: All Snape, all the time.

Spinner’s End Squee

// July 2nd, 2009

It looks like we FINALLY have our first glimpse of Spinner’s End in all its shabby glory…

Some more of the wig…

And there’s a video clip of the Trio and Ginny discussing the Advanced Potions book.

Hey . . . wait a moment, I just noticed that Snape has a modern reading lamp! There’s no electricity at Spinner’s End!

Humph! Well, in any case, it’s squeeful to see Snape’s place. He’s such a bibliophile isn’t he?

BTW, what do you all think Bella is doing? She doesn’t look angry or accusatory . . doesn’t fit with cannon.

I didn’t expect the 1950s kitchen with the Bath & Body Works Hand Soap next to the sink. And Snape got some volumizing layers in said wig….still hot hot hot.

They are both awesome pics. I have waiting all this time to see Spinner’s End and a photo is released 2 weeks before it comes out. Typical.

    I love Snape’s hair btw.

    SO EXCITED x

Great picture, I wonder what the picture is hanging on the wall above and over his head. I think they’re putting in the muggle sink and lamp in his house to give movie watchers a hint to his true blood lineage. Though I can’t believe anyone would go watch the movies by now without having completed the series, but they must be out there and the movie makers shoot the film assuming not everyone will know what happens at the end of HBP.

Not exactly how I pictured it, either. I didn’t imagine the kitchen so close, or so “yellow”. And I don’t think Snape would be so careless as to leave a broken drawer pull hanging. He would have made Wormtail fix it :) (”Use your shiny silver hand!”)

I surfed the WB and hot topic websites for officially licensed HPB merchandise and found, to my dismay, that there is very little to offer regarding the movie’s namesake. No t-shirts with only Snape, except for one that says “Property of the the half-blood Prince.” How disappointing. I expected more Snape-themed merch this time!

These are great photos, and I love the clip! There’s an interesting TV ad where we can see Snape ’shushing’ Harry - wonder if it’s from the chase scene at the end?

Awesome - Well it is how I pistured it, although I was hoping for a more relaxed look from Snape’s attire - Shirt open to the navel perhaps?
Has anyone seen the documentary on Den of Geek?
Spoiler warning, there is tons of extra footage - don’t watch it, if you have the will power - I am weak - Doh!!

If this is the house that Snape lived and grew up in, I think it would be muggle, with electricity and all that, his mother was married to a muggle right? And didn’t Bellatrix Lestrange comment on how muggle the area was? And didn’t Snape live down the street or something from Lily?

I love these shots. Bella’s looking at Snape the way one of us might: like she wants to eat him up and spit him out. ;)

I bought the last two tickets of the opening night showing of the movie at San Francisco’s Metreon or 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. Will any Snapecasters be around to meet up?

You have to like how he’s got his wand perched on the top of the stack of books, within easy reach, just in case.

I can’t wait to see the movie. Probably won’t have time until Thursday or Friday, at the earliest.

How was the movie guys? I mean it can’t surpass the greatness GOF had, but it’s pretty good.

It just seemed to go by too fast. A little more Snape than I expected. Certain Canon lines that I expected to hear were not there. (I won’t spoil) Sigh! At least I got my Snape fix, feathered hair albeit!

I loved the movie! True, alot was cut and changes made, but I thought the spirit of the story was well conveyed. Snape was awesome, delivering his lines with calculated snark. He looked trim and hot (even more so) at Spinner’s End, in his morning coat and trousers. Much better hair. Not as much interaction with the students, but he seemed to have more screen time. As it should be, since the movie is about him. I’ll see it again and then again when it comes out in IMAX.

I just saw it. I loved when Snape shushed Harry — it was about as classic as Snape pulling Harry down the stairs in the previous film, for the Occlumency lessons.

But even better than that was when Snape pushed Malfoy against the wall while talking, and then the camera panned away from the scene. Rather suggestive, wasn’t it? Hell, I even thought him being the one to escort Malfoy out of the Slug Club and just seeing them leave felt a little suggestive.

But maybe I was just thinking of the Snaco implication of the screencaps posted here awhile ago; I was practically looking for it. Shame, though, not to see the image of Draco walking away down that hall like in one of said screencaps, though, wasn’t it?

Funny about all that, though, isn’t it? I’m not even into Snaco.

Of course, I’m not into Snarry, either, but I could just image that when Hermione said Harry was sleeping with the Half-Blood Prince’s book. Know what I mean, nudge nudge?

I loved the movie too. I was very surprised that they kept the Sectumsempra scene because I thought the PG rating would eliminate any chance of bloodshed. It was great that I wasn’t the only one cheering when Snape first appeared on the screen. I was surprised at how the Lighting Struck Tower scene was so quiet–I expected more chaos. Overall, the movie captured the book well and I can’t wait to see it again. It has added more fire to my already blazing Snape lunacy.

I loved the shushing too, I thought it worked well - but I wish he had said “Don’t call me a Coward.” The wormtail dismissal in Spinners end was class, and the snippet of conversation overheard by Harry between him and Dumbledore was also nice to see. There can always be more Snape; we just have to be grateful for what we get. Can’t wait to see it again tomorrow on imax.

I love the wig! It looks as though he just got out of bed for some reason.

I didn’t expect a -yellow- kitchen but the bookshelves are brilliant!

Can’t wait for the movie episode.

I saw it again last night and was looking for the part where Snape says, “it’s over” and didn’t see it. And the part where Ron tells Harry good luck and Harry replies that he won’t need luck; he’ll be with Dumbledore. Not there. Snape has no antagonizing interchanges with the students this year. But he has some delightful snarky lines. Maybe it’s because they all know how Book 7 will turn out. Going to see it in IMAX on the 29th.

They cut the ‘it’s over’ part!! No 3D Snape in IMAX either. Denied again and again!
He looked so utterly glorious on the Astronomy tower though in all his cloak billowing hotness!

It was a great scene, but I wanted Narcissa to be more of a drama queen. Oh well. But of course, Alan was AWESOME as always! And I loved the hair in this film. He’s been to the stylist!

    I loved this scene!!!

I loved the part when he lowered the newspaper–more specifically, the look on his face. I was swooning that whole time. =]

Side note: I love the new Snape hair. It’s uber-hot. Enough said.
