Snapecast: All Snape, all the time.

“It’s Over”

// April 16th, 2009

Although the Professor is only featured for a few seconds in the latest HBP trailer, he certainly makes an impact. In addition to the scenes from previous trailers, the latest tease from the WB features Snape hurling hexes at Harry and darkly uttering the words “it’s over” in a way that only Snape can do. We’ve captured a few screencaps which are available below. Click on the link for the larger versions…

Look at that technique. Snape definitely has some hardcore dueling experience.

I would not want to be Harry here…well then again…

…or maybe not

The scene that is giving all the Snape fans the chills.

    The whole trailer was amazingly luscious and dark and my eyes kept getting wider and wider and then ‘It’s over..’ and I lost all comprehensive thought, my brain shut down and was working on squeeesss, AHHHHH’s and OMG’s. I can’t wait to see AR’s performance. The new posters are fantastic too.

    It really makes you wish we could have a trailer that is solidly “The Half-Blood Prince”, no one else, just the man of the moment. Have they even mentioned the HBP’s book yet? Have they even mentioned the HBP at all?! We need more Snape!

    But yeah, the little bit we got is wonderful. *sigh* I just realized Alan Rickman is exactly three times my age. It’s that voice! As soon as he says, “It’s over. . .” I get the chills. He’s so brilliant, even if he’s 27 years over Snape’s age.

    Ok, but the only thing is. . . he’s playing “The Flight of the Prince” very quietly. He doesn’t exactly look like he’s in a rage or “. .demented, inhuman, as though he was in as much pain as the yelping, howling dog stuck in the burning house behind them-” He’s too cool, he played it too cool in The Shrieking Shack in movie 3. I want to see Snape in pain. . .that’s what this moment is all about.

    Chills!!!

    I am so excited! Hopefully this movie will have more Snape in it than the last one, especially considering his name is pretty much in the title this time.

    @ Cosima – totally agree, and he’s not the only one. Although, I suppose with David Yates directing, there’s bound to be some mistakes.
