Oh how they tease

// August 15th, 2008

The Curse of the Halfblood Prince continues with new images of Snape released from the film!

First we have a really nice Snape wand action shot…

And then the infamous Unbreakable Vow scene…

And we have to wait HOW long to see this film?

I’m completely gutted by the news of the delayed release date (as I’m sure everyone else is too!) but new pics are always good – especially when they contain all that snarky goodness!

What am I going to do until July? *sob sob*

What is up with Narcissa’s hair???? She should be all blond, not brown on top. How hard is it to bleach a full head of hair, or procure a wig….. Bleah, this just adds to my disgruntlement with WB. But…we do have Rickman in the wine movie opening this week… Bottle somethingorother.

    Bottle Shock :D

I’m so annoyed about this “July” release crap that I can’t even appreciate the awesome-ness of these Snapey pics!!

Ooh. I was assuming the brown lump was some sort of dodgy hat. Surely everyone knows Narcissa’s hair is pure blonde the same as Lucius’ amnd Draco’s don’t they?

Unfortunately I live in the UK where there is no sign of Bottle Shock being released anytime in the near future. I just hope it’ll be out on DVD shortly.

Narcissa doesn’t look nearly desperate enough…I always read this scene as incredibly intimate and desperate. Maybe this is just a bad shot from the entire scene. Rickman, of course, is looking incredibly Snapey!

Why does this movie have to pushed back? This is so ****** up!!!!! This is my favorite book with my two favorite characters Snape and Ginny hopefully getting more than two minutes on screen!!!! I do agree that Snape looks Fabuloso and Bellatrix looks composed, posh and quite beautiful, Narcissa does not look like someone that is desperate about her Son’s precarious situation,She is not even platinum blond!!! Whats with the road kill????? This is not right. I can’t survive without SnapeCast and now no Half -Blood Prince!!!!! UHHHHHH!!!!!

Among all of the actresses in Britain, they couldn’t find a beautiful, haughty blonde to play Narcissa Black Malfoy?! The lady pictured certainly appears haughty enough to be an aristocratic pureblood, but that’s about it. Perhaps this is a staged shot, and Warners did trick her out in suitable clothing, makeup and hair color? One can only hope.

The director interviews indicate a great deal of focus on the teeny-boppers’ relationships. Seems like, once again, no one actually *read the book.* And they say the Potter books increased literacy! Bah!

I don’t like the clothes, they re-invented them in the films (mostly since the 3rd movie).

That’s why Narcissa is probably wearing a kind of coat and a hat, instead of robes and a hooded cloak, with her “long blonde hair streaming down her back” as described in the book.

With the children things are even worse. Those multi-colour wool jerseys and jeans they wear, make them look as muggles instead of wizards. I wonder how they can feel easy dressing like that or how they can go to Hogsmeade without shocking everybody there!

In the films only some adults (Dumbledore, McGonagall, Lucius Malfoy, etc.) actually dress and look like wizards.

I don’t even know whether I’ll still be a fan next year. I mean, there could be a nuclear war next year. Postponing is always bad because people’s interest is fading away with no new books. Maybe someone at Warner’s smuggles out a copy and puts it on the net, then they’ll have to react and get it out quickly. ;-)
