What a wonderful episode! I’m not a Snarry-shipper as such, but I do enjoy a well written fic with their pairing stage-centre. And I loved those out-takes at the end ::g::

I have yet another “I’m a Prince” theory – perhaps Irma Pince is not Severus’ mother, but cousin or aunt, or even a very much younger or older sister? I have no evidence to back this up, other than the possibility that Severus would be more likely not to recognise a relative he has seen less of.

I also had some comments relating to Snapecasts 9 and 10 that I’ve been meaning to pass on for ages (hence their brevity – I hope they still make sense):

    Ep. 9:
    1. Spoiling a child is a form of child abuse; it leaves them psychologically and emotionally unprepared for life.
    2. I have developed a theory that Snape’s “hatred” of Harry has less to do with a transferrence of his hatred of James than it does to do with his guilt over the death of Lily, or rather a combination of the two.
    3. There are four languages spoken in Scotland: English, Gaelic, Scots and Lalans. Steph’s translation of the Potions speech was in Scots – so no, those words weren’t English. It was wonderful to hear :-)

    Ep. 10:
    1. Abuse is not the only way that a person can be emotionally wounded in childhood.

    Both Eps. 9 and 10:
Please get advice from Chris on the pronounciation of English place names before recording! ‘Derbyshire’ in episode 9 was cringeworthy – I got over it – but followed in the next episode by ‘Worcester’, ‘Malvern’ and ‘Tonbridge’… deary, deary me, Severus would not be amused. ;-)

Hello! emerald_dragon8 from LJ here (school will not let me get onto LJ but I can do Snapecast.com). Just finished listening to this ep, which has to be my favourite BY FAR. (That has nothing to do with the fact that I adore Snape/Harry more than any other pairing ever. No, it does not. *g*)

Anyway, as the person who completely freaked pennswoods out by telling her we have bird-eating spiders in Australia (again, sorry sweetie!) I’d just like to say that we actually *do* have them here. I’ve yet to see one, thankfully.

My favourite part of this episode just HAD to be Love Potion 9 3/4 but I also really loved the interview with DJ and owlpost. (Really, I could go on for days). I loved it all, basically. :D

    Keep up the fabulous work.

P.S- How fucking fabulous is it that Harry’s wearing PJ’s to occlumency? As if those scenes weren’t slashy enough! *g*

    Ugh! Bird-eating spiders!

    *freaks out*

I’m glad that I’m not the only one whose evil mind appreciated the Harry/pjs/Snape photo! BTW, Greece also has bird eating tarantulas, they eat the hatchlings from ground nesting birds. Circle-of-life, tra-la-tra-la.

Lol. I LOVED that photo. Was happy for hours afterwards. *g*

Oh, really? Cool. I’m sure they have them in quite a few places.

Hey snapecasters! Firstly, I want to say, that you guys saved my life (or my sanity anyway) with your podcast. Let me explain: our power went out for five hours, and we weren’t prepared. At all. I made it through by listening to old snapecasts whilst bundled under a rather ridiculous amount of blankets. Thanks!

The other thing was… Do you still need voice actors? I believe you mentioned it in episode 9 or 10.

Squick-worthy pairings? Well, bonus points go to whoever mentioned Snape/Giant Squid. The Giant Squid should not be paired with anyone. I blame the Japanese for that one, and their tentacle porn.

However, I’d be cool with seeing some Voldemort/Snape. Actually, no, just movieverse, because Ralph!Voldie is just… I don’t know. Ralph Fiennes just radiates sex, even underneath all the makeup and special effects. Although I don’t Voldie would ever be interested in sex. Really, never. Nor do I see Snape as a sexual creature, unless he had someone he trusted completely.

Or he was drunk. Very, very drunk. As in, too drunk to… get it up. He’d disappoint whatever partner had worked so hard to get the man inebriated.
